1 down, 6 to go
A fews weeks ago I managed to tick off my first goal for 2015, I got down to 9% body fat. Queue the trumpets and street parade.
I started off at an average(ish) 19% body fat and have been slowly chipping away at it over time until a few Wednesday’s back when I finally reached my goal, and it felt good. Like really good. Like really really good. Like, well you understand.
It’s been a loooong 6 months to get to this point and a fair few people have helped out along the way but we got there in the end. The final weeks leading up to the last “weigh in” were nothing short of tortuous due mainly to the very strict and limit diet of pretty much steak, turkey, asparagus, spinach and peanut butter. But like I said we got there.
At the beginning of the journey I decided to put 100% faith in my personal trainer Sam, and it paid off 200%.
I knew Sam had achieved incredible results with lads like me before, so we sat down and spoke about what I wanted to achieve and he planned everything out for me. Every question I had, and there were a lot, he had an answer to. He explained why we did everything and how that was going to contribute to my long term goals. He made it clear it wasn’t going to be easy and that it was going to take time to do everything sustainably to get long term results.
The last few weeks were pretty extreme to get down to the weight, but when I hit my target it was worth it, and to celebrate Sam asked me to do a few snaps :-S
Brace yourself…
… And breathe, it wasn’t that bad was it?
To be able to say I have achieved my first target for 2015 feels great, and it wouldn’t have been made possible without the the help and hard work from a lot of people.
I am 1 down with 6 to go for 2015, the next few months are going to be a lot of fun.
